~ Angels Supporting Viet Nam Veterans ~ WELCOME HOME AND THANK YOU!!!!! MILITARY DEDICATION HONORS It is with much pride and honor that this page is being dedicated to the military personnel of the United States. I believe that many of us know that in our hearts we are safe and able to pursue our way of life because thousands of men and women have offered their lives for ours, without ever meeting us or knowing us. They did this for us and our country and looked for nothing but a thank you. I know that there are times when we did not understand why the Commander in Chief directed our military personnel to do what they did, however, we must acknowledge and recognize that they did what they were told to do for the betterment of our country and our lives. A retired Master Sergeant of the air force that I have had the honor of knowing say, "They have paid the highest honor possible to those they will never meet or know, by offering their own lives in war." We must let them know that we do honor and appreciate them. Many mothers have sent her child off to protect the very country that she lives in and has done so without hesitation, and never once condemned this country when a child did not come back. Wives have sent off their husbands not even knowing where they were going, but, knew they had to go. For men and women to have honored us in such a way speaks volumes as to the fine men and women they truly are and were. They serve and protect those that are not able to protect themselves and do, so unselfishly that it is actually breath taking. This felling seems to make them alive and they live to be able to have the honor to do this time and time again for us and our country. I think that we should honor them by the way that they have honored us and let them know that we do love them, appreciate them and most of all thank them and welcome them home for who and what they are, "our heroes." I wish for all of us to take a moment and reflect on how proud these men and women must be to do what they do without hesitation and with only pure conviction of honoring our lives.
